|Biona Organic Raw Virgin Coconut Oil|
|Raw Organic Unrefined Shea Butter|
Summer is over here in England, sad face but I thought I'd share my daily moisturiser that I use with you and can be used all year round.
I've been using Shea Butter mixed with Coconut oil for a while now and love the stuff, its moisturising, good for your skin and has its own natural SPF (sun protection factor). My skin always feels so soft and supple, plus youthful looking.
Shea Butter has a SPF 6 perfect for dark skin or for fair skin in low sun levels & Coconut Oil SPF 10 but that does depend on the quality of the coconut oil that you use, make sure you can get the best.
I purchase my shea butter online on ebay and it comes in a block..
In a bowl add shea butter & coconut oil and mix with a hand mixer if you have one together until light and creamy, then add 10 drops of Lavender & Ylang Ylang essential oils or whatever essential oil to like just to preserve it and mix again. Place your creamy contents into a plastic container and keep in a cool place and away from sunlight.
What makes Shea butter an extraordinary skin care and an amazing body healer is its richness in precious constituents, which include unsaturated fats with a large proportion of "unsaponifiables" components, essential fatty acids, phytosterols, vitamin E and D, provitamin A and allantoin. All these are natural and make Shea butter a superfood for your skin (and hair), but that is not all it can do for you because it is:
- Wrinkles, fine lines and scars repairing
- Deeply moisturizing
- Stimulating for the superficial microcirculation
- Skin strengthening
- Skin protecting
- UV protecting
- Skin regenerating
- Collagen production stimulating (makes the skin stronger, more supple and younger)
- Minor cuts and burns healing
- Muscle ache healing
- Physical endurance enhancer
Coconut oil is an excellent skin conditioner containing medium-chain triglycerides, naturally occurring fats which deeply penetrate, moisturize and acts as a protective barrier against environmental and free radical damage. The oil also provides sun protection by screening 20 percent of ultraviolet exposure.
Coconut oil is rich in anti-oxidants and bursting with the natural microbial and antibacterial agents caphrylic and capric acids. . Its ability to smooth the skin while infusing with anti-oxidants makes it a perfect anti-aging moisturizer. Moreover, it contains vitamin E, another antioxidant popular for hastening the recovery of skin abrasions, burns and other trauma.
