Workout with Wireless Fitness

Have you thought out doing your workouts outdoorswell SW fitness have launched an exclusive BRAND NEW fitness session to London, giving you the opportunity to get in great shape, and have even more fun than usual. 

Wireless fitness is the world’s first company to allow fitness instructors to deliver music-based fitness classes outdoors, using wireless headphones.

I was invited to attend a wireless fitness session at Clapham Common Park last weekend, I brought my husband with me for support, we arrived at 9am not knowing what to expect and I came dressed in my black capri style joggers, t-shirt & track top with my fresh new pink trainers... Oh dear! that was a bad mistake, I should have known that the grass would have been wet and muddy.  

What's involved in each session:

Full body circuits, Short sprints, Interval Training, HIIT workouts, Ab workout every 8 minutes 

We met with trainer Alistair who gave us some wireless headphones, he turned on the music through a portable studio, which is then plugged into a music player, we started off with some warm up exercises, jogging/sprinting and then some circuit exercises, he really made as work up a sweat. 

I quite enjoyed the hover squat and jump exercise to the song “Roxanne” by The Police, it was challenge and the legs had a real good workout,(feel the burn) we then did some Ab work which was a killer, properly the hardest part of the class, and being down on the ground it was cold and wet and muddy and all I could think about was... my hands! my clothes! my hair! are getting dirty. My OCD was setting in, I don’t really suffer with OCD but I think maybe I do have a mild form of it...lol

I found that when we did the floor exercises my headphones would cut out, not sure if that was due to the batteries dieing or something to do with wireless transmission, apart from that a really good concept, would recommend anyone to give it ago and they give you an opportunity to try a class for free.

You will find, that people walking through he park will stop and watch you in fascination because all they can see is a group of people working out and in silence, it must look pretty strange.

Your personal trainer will be guiding you through each workout, motivating and pushing you. No shouting and screaming, just motivating trainers ready to help! Pushing you hard, but only as hard as you want to work. Everyone works at different levels. They encourage you to find your limits and work within them, so regardless of your fitness levels, you won't ever be left behind.

It was a really good experience, and I would definitely do it again if I could find somewhere closer to home. By the end of the session I was feeling good, tired but good, sweaty, wet and dirty but that was the fun of it.

Membership is £38 per month, no contracts or sign up fees. 

They are launching 20 new sessions across Fulham, Clapham and Green Park.
