Wet n Wild Adventure - 10km London River Rat Race

London River Rat Race

I’ve agreed to take part in the 10km London River Rat Race. Am I going to regret being involved in this?
There is no going back now and I would feel like a wuss backing out. My friend Dani who writes over at This Woman’s Word asked me if I wanted to join as she had a few complementary places. Who am I to pass that up.
The London River Rate Race is brought to you by the guys behind the legendary Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest Urban Assault Courses, the event will be held at London ExCel Centre for a wet `n’ wild 10km running course around Docklands on Saturday 16th August.
So “Are you ready to swim, wade, crawl, climb, jump, splash and run your way around our aquatic obstacle course and have a whole lot of fun en route?”

Erm...NO!!!
Ok so I’ve read that we will be jumping off a plank 20ft into water ( INTO THE DRINK ) – are they CRAZY!  I’m seriously going to die! I know a few of us are not looking forward to this either... GOD HELP US!!
Putting that aside it will be an adventure and a lot of fun with the Breakin Boundrez team put together by the lovely Dani.
Here are some of the obstacles to be battled on the day.
Slippery Wall

Tyre run

Plune pool

Into the drink

Kayaking

So do you fancy a Challenge? Why not get a team together...
You can still sign up here and most importantly a £10 contribution will be donated to Shelter the housing and homelessness charity.
