Multipower Sportsfood - Fruit Power Bar Review

Fruit Power Bar

I was given the opportunity to try Multipower’s new Fruit Power Bars – the official performance bar to help fuel the world’s leading cyclists during 2014 Giro d ‘Italia. The bars come in two favours Tropical Fruit (mango, pineapple and apricot) packed with 54% real fruit & Original Apple & Raisin packed with 65% real fruit.

“It boasts a combination of low fat (max 1.4g per bar), fibre and protein content, resulting in a bar that is easy to digest while exercising.”

The bars suggested use is before or during exercise to provide a powerful supply of energy for any high intensity workout.

They look fab, pretty moist to the touch with a great chewy texture; they tasted good but to be completely honest far too sweet for my palate. I'm very conscious about the amount of added sugars that are in my foods. I could only manage half a bar before I was bouncing of the walls, it got me through a HIIT Class. The rush I felt was extraordinary, but tried them both to do this review. I can see how these bars can fuel cyclists on a challenging endurance bike race – it will provide both fast and slow release in fuel - so for all you endurance fitness peeps this is ideal for your training & competitions.
