As I am already a convert of using Organic skincare products and also begin a Neal's Yard Remedies Organic Independent Consultant, I just had to get involved with promoting Organic September / Organic Beauty Week.
Running from 8-14 September 2014, Organic Beauty Week aims to increase the awareness of organic health and beauty products and their benefits, across all consumer platforms. A full list of activities can be found here
Are you mindful about the things you put on your skin? Did you know that your skin is the largest organ of your body and what you put on it can have an impact on not only you but the environment too. Make small changes now!
Tens of thousands of man-made chemicals have been created in the last 50 years, most have never been tested for safety on humans or wildlife. Being organic means not being exposed to them.
Not all organic products are 'ORGANIC' it has to have between 70-95% organic ingredients and submitt a declaration that it is non-GM (GM Free) before it is certified. So the soil association certification guarantees that a product contains the highest levels of certified organic ingredients, with no harmful synthetic chemicals.
There are many organic beauty brands available in store and online - look out for the soil association label.
So lets celebrate this week. Follow the Soil Association on twitter, use the hashtag #OrganicBeauty to spread the organic message and keep up to date with whats going on, take part in many of the activities happening in and around your area.
