Transitioning to Vegan to beat IBS

Hi guys, thought i'd do a little post to update you on what's been happening with me. I've been stuffing with digestion issues for so long now. I've had numerous blood tests, scans and the doctors say it's IBS. Boo! Anywho on Friday I rang the doctor to see if I could get an emergency appointment, I have been in agony lately, they were able to see me which was good.

I stressed my concerns, how I couldn't take waking up everyday in pain anymore, as it would often last the whole day, and on occasions has woken me from my sleep.
Thankfully the doctor agreed to refer me to the hospital, and even apologised for not having a more immediate slot, so now It's just a waiting game for an appointment to become available.

In the mean time tomorrow is the start of something new. A lifestyle change to the way I eat I've decided to become a vegan to see if It will help heal / help the problem and get me back in great health. My energy levels are so low, I'm always tired but try to make the best out of a bad situation by putting on a brave face and smiling through the pain. Sometimes the pain does show but most times I hide it.

What is a vegan diet?

A vegan diet is free from any and ALL animal products including meat, milk, eggs, yogurt, cheese, even food processed with animal products such as gelatin.

So wish me luck peeps, I'm quite looking forward to the transition and beating IBS.
