ZICO Pop-up Smoothie Bar Launch

ZICO launched their pop-up Smoothie Bar on 2nd October, to help kick start our autumn with a healthy bang, located in the heart of vibrant Shoreditch Ely's Yard - East London. I was invited to the pre-launch on Wednesday 1st October, along with some other bloggers, to make our own smoothies using their pure premium coconut water and to celebrate the launch of the brand.

Coconut water is naturally low in calories, a great source of magnesium which helps combat fatigue and tiredness and potassium which help maintain normal muscle function.

Before making our smoothies we were introduced to Zoe Palmer-Wright a nutritionist from the The London Detox Clinic who specialises in juice detox programs, she also works with people with health & colonic conditions. Zoe spoke to us briefly on the importance of food being a medicine and how good nutrition is key to good health. Zoe works with her clients to devise a plan to remove the underlining issues. It was a really interesting talk and I gained some insightful information to take home with me.

I’m not a virgin to smoothie making and have them quite often, so I knew what I'd pick would taste great! – so I handled over my list of ingredients kale, banana, pineapple and chia.

Customers will be invited to tweet @ZICO_London using the #ZICOSmoothie hashtag to gain entry to the experience, once inside you can choose the ingredients and superfoods to create your own ZICO Smoothie. They will then blend it up for you using a high spec Blendtec blender.
