Peppermint - A Natural Headache Remedy

Since being on chemo I refuse to take anymore pharmaceutical drugs, so have been searching the net for a natural headache remedy, I've been waking up with them for the pass week and it's been getting me down. I came across this remedy online and thought I give it a try and luckily had all that was required at home.

Peppermint Oil

Hot Water Bottle

Massage a few drops of peppermint oil at the first sign of a headache although I had mine for most of the day it still worked. Massage on the temples, your jaw line and around the back of the neck and also inhale a few drops in a steam bath or inhale direct from your hands it will also help with any nausea you may be experiencing too.

Make yourself a cup of peppermint tea and sip slowly, if you have fresh mint then that's even better.

Fill up your hot water bottle and wrap with a towel and place on the back of the neck/shoulders and relax.

It really worked for me and I woke up the next day without a headache. A coincidence? Who knows.

Give it try next time your thinking of reaching for painkillers.

Do you have any natural remedies for a headache that work, please do share in the comment box.
