A little bit about the founder of Fresh Perception - Hope Bastine has a long life of experience in yoga tradition. She has a well grounded background in sports related anatomy and physiology before she launched into her formal yoga teaching with Jason Crandel. Having trained with Burmese Monks, she extended her training into the secular mindfullness discipline under the vernerable guidance of Dr Collard, author of 'MBCT for Dummies' (Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy) whom she co-teaches with. Hope's classes are set to be challenging to develop your strength and stamina.

Your day will start with strength building yoga practise, followed by a deepening mindful meditation. Activities are planned for each day: an exciting treasure trail, a hike up the 600m Black Combe and free time to bike and hike. Every evening will finish off with a restorative yoga and mediation practice before dinner and jacuzzi time.
Included in this retreat is a top of the range hot tub and a 30min aromatherapy massage.

High Lowscales Farm is an intimate setting accommodating up to 14 retreatants. All rooms have period features including slate or wooden floors, oak beams, and other period features. There are up to 2 rooms for couples and up to 3 spacious male and female dorms with en suite bathrooms, plus plenty of space to socialise.
Everyday day will kick off with a tasty smoothie, brunch is a locally sourced & organic with veggie options. A homemade sandwich of your choosing to get you through your hike and the real treat is dinner an evening feast which looks a little something like this. Starter: Homemade Roasted Butternut Squash Soup. Main: Fish on a bed of Quinoa with shredded Broccoli, Spinach and Almonds. Dessert: Lemon and Lime Quorn Cheesecake with Blueberry compote.
