The Lodge at The Old Mill Treehouse - Norton St Phillip, Somerset

The Lodge at the Old Mill Treehouse

Is set in a quite country village and a luxury little place tucked away in amongst the trees, it's glass front gives you beautiful views of the woodlands where you feel one with nature.

Inside the lodge you will be wowed by the beautiful interior, especially the swinging bed that hangs from the ceiling.

The Lodge has everything you could ask for to make your stay perfect, equipped with  a fitted kitchen, a gorgeous en-suite bathroom, WiFi ,TV, fresh white towels and plush bathrobes.  You also receive a welcome pack of food on arrival which is so thoughtful.

Just a 5min walk away is the local pub called "The George Inn", and there is also a 24hr mini Coop supermarket to pickup your supplies.

At night, the lodge is illuminated by twinkling fairy lights which are wrapped around the truck of a tree, outside spot lights on the deck and solar lights along the pathway.

Tony & Beverley (the owners) have thought of everything from cosy chairs with cushions & blankets outside on the decking so you can take in the night air and relax with a cup of hot chocolate & marshmallows kindly provided for you to use or if your fancy a little something stronger then that is equally relaxing.

On this acre of land Tony & Beverley built a treehouse which is also available for booking, the treehouse was their first project and only 10metre away from the lodge which you can see but you still have your own privacy. Here is a little video I captured of the grounds, treehouse & the lodge.

Another highlight of our stay was feeding the squirrels monkey nuts, each morning they would come to the door and wait patiently. It was lovely seeing them running and playing.

This is the most amazing and romantic place to stay to celebrate a special occasion or just to get away from city life. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights celebrating our 18th Wedding Anniversary and we were both taken aback by it's beauty. We will definitely be booking another stay here, it was truly a memorable stay, we seriously didn't want to leave.

Bath is only 6 miles away about a 20min drive, where you can take in the sites and learn about some of it's history - Roman Baths, Bath Spa, Bath Abbey and the Royal Crescent to name a few.

I booked The Lodge through Canopy and Stars so if you fancy experiencing this luxery cabin, head on over to their website.
