Boost your Metabolism and Aid Digestion - Ginger & Lemon Water

Ginger & Lemon Water

Struggling with poor digestion, try this easy to make elixir to drink after a meal. Ginger & Lemon are highly anti-inflammatory which help with inflammation in the body. When you bring these two compounds found in ginger & lemon you get amazing therapeutic value from them. Here are just a few of the health benefits:

100g ginger root - peel & cut into medium size pieces to make it easier for blending
1 whole lemon - peel & de-seed
3 cups of filtered water
dash of turmeric (optional)
dash of Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Honey /Agave to sweeten (optional)

Add the ginger root, lemon and water to your blender**, and blitz until just liquid.

Strain liquid into a jug and squeeze the remainder of liquid from the remains until dry - pour into a glass bottle/jug add more water if you desire, should make about a pint.

Stir in your sweetener once finished and your turmeric and cayenne pepper if using. I like to drink mine without sweetener as I feel it doesn't need it, but feel free to use.

I consume my ginger & lemon water at room temperature as cold drinks tend to irritate my stomach and drink a small glass after a meal to help settle my stomach as I often feel bloated after dinner. 

You can stored any left over in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. You can also warm this up if you so desire.
